  • Do I have a warranty for the laptop I purchased?

    Yes, every laptop purchased through the SLPP program has a minimum of 12 months. However, this is subject to the Warranty terms and conditions of the Vendor from whom the laptop has been purchased from.

  • How long should I wait for the laptop to be delivered?

    The initial batch of laptops shall be delivered in April 2022 for orders received by end of January 2022. 

    Subsequent booking requests shall be honoured within two months after placing the booking request.

  • Can I change my laptop collection location/point?

    NO, you cannot change the laptop collection location after confirmation of your booking request.

    The laptop shall be delivered to the location specified in your booking request form

  • How does the Lease-to-Own Purchasing model work?

    Under the Lease-to-own purchasing model, you will be required to pay a 15% deposit and settle the balance in instalments over a 24-month or 12-month period through your institution or through the payment details provided by your institution.

  • How does outright purchase model work?

    Students, staff and faculty purchasing laptops through the outright purchase model shall buy laptops by paying the total cost of the device in a one-off payment on or before receipt of the laptop subject to the terms of the vendor.

  • Why are students and staff from TVETs and TTCs not able to purchase laptops through the SLPP program?

    Unfortunately, only universities are considered in the first phase of the SLPP. However, KENET shall initiate talks with its SLPP partners to expand the program and accommodate participants from TVETs and TTCs.

    This means that your institution has not accepted to participate in the SLPP. All universities are eligible to participate in the SLPP. Kindly contact your institution for direction.
